Services

Our annual travel conference is a time to reflect on the year and prepare for the future. It is where we gather our thoughts and meet our colleagues within the industry.

Fridays are usually reserved for owners/managers with the morning sessions held ‘in camera’. Friday afternoons typically feature speakers from a wide variety of disciplines. Previous conferences have hosted presentations from the Central Statistics Office, The Commission for Aviation Regulation, The European Consumer Centre, The Garda Fraud Squad and Amarach Research to name but a few. Friday evenings are reserved for casual networking and feature a cocktail reception and dinner.

Saturdays are always dominated by our annual supplier workshop which is conducted on a speed-dating format, with each agent delegate provided with their own passport for which they accumulate ‘visa’ stamps as they work their way through each supplier station. The workshop is punctuated by 10-minute presentations from the main stage throughout the day — usually two in the morning and again in the afternoon — finished off with a round of spot prizes. Saturday evening features another drinks reception, followed by the gala dinner, awards ceremony and dinner entertainment, followed by a top dance band and DJ.

Networking

As with any conference event, networking at the Travel Centres Annual Travel Conference is a key activity for the weekend. We encourage all members and suppliers to interact and engage with each other in both formal and informal settings over the course of the conference.

Awards

With our awards, everyone has a chance to shine. Each year, a panel of judges from the travel industry picks the winner for best supplier of the year, best agency of the year (across a range of different categories) and best sales person of the year.
